Crystals have been more than just beautiful stones for me; they’ve been powerful allies on my journey, helping me become who I am today. Clear Quartz
Clear Quartz was the first crystal I was introduced to. Around 20 years ago, a friend gifted it to me. She had bought it from a South Asian country, and at the time, I didn’t know what it was—I just thought it was a beautiful decorative piece. I placed it in my room and felt an inexplicable attraction to it. I always kept it clean and washed it regularly.
After receiving it, my life began to change in remarkable ways. My salary increased, my job designation improved, but I never attributed these changes to the crystal. Then, during a school activity called the Wish Tree, where students wrote their wishes and hung them on a tree, I felt inspired to do the same with my Clear Quartz tree at home. I wrote my wishes and placed them beneath the tree, not wanting others to read them. Miraculously, my wishes came true in a short period of time.
Curious, I researched and discovered that this was no ordinary stone; it was Clear Quartz—the ‘Master Healer’ and ‘Master Manifestor’. This revelation sparked my journey into the world of crystals. Many years ago, while visiting a shop in Jaipur, I stumbled upon a stunning pyrite cluster. Though I didn’t know the crystal’s name, I was immediately drawn to its beauty. When I asked the shopkeeper, he informed me it was pyrite, also known as Fool’s Gold. Enchanted by its shimmering allure, I decided to purchase it.
After bringing it into my life, I noticed significant changes. Opportunities seemed to flow my way, and my focus sharpened to the point where I published two series of books. At the time, I was unaware of the care requirements for crystals and made the mistake of washing the pyrite, causing it to lose some of its color. Despite this, I still cherish that pyrite cluster and keep it proudly in my office.
Amethyst
Amethyst has always held a special place in my heart, especially since my dance teacher gifted me an exquisite amethyst angel from Canada. From childhood, I’ve been captivated by angels, finding solace in their presence. I would often talk to this angel and place it under my pillow each night before sleeping.
This small ritual had a profound impact on my rest, transforming my once troubled nights into a serene slumber. Before, I struggled with sleep so much that I sometimes needed medication. But with my amethyst angel by my side, I found a natural and comforting solution, and my nights became restful and rejuvenating.
Ammonite
After exploring astrology and learning about my karmic relationships, I wanted to heal and improve these connections. That’s when I found the Ammonite crystal. 6 Lies I Will Never Tell Myself Again
We all tell lies to ourselves. Now, you may ask, “Mam, yes, we tell lies to others, but to ourselves?” Yes, we do. Today, I, Dr Neeti Kaushik want to share the life lessons I’ve learned from the lies I told myself over the years. These lies led to significant changes in my life, and I hope my journey resonates with you and offers some valuable insights. Here are six lies I told myself, and I’m sure at least three to four of them will resonate with you. These life lessons will surely help you in your journey.
1. My Dreams Are Impossible
Whenever I used to dream big, I would often say, “Big talk for big people. My dreams can’t come true.” I always told my son, “Beta, we are middle-class people; your maternal grand father and paternal grandfather both are service class people, and we are not used to take big risks. “
I had a fear of change because I was comfortable with having a good monthly salary in my account. Thinking that with big dreams come big risks created financial insecurity and fear in me. I thought my fear was bigger than my dreams. But the truth is, your dreams should be bigger than your fears.
I always wanted to do something different, but I never imagined that one day, after 35 years of experience in school administration, I would wake up and decide to quit my career to follow my passion. It took me many years to realize this, but I want to tell you not to be afraid to follow your dreams and passions. Don’t let fear hold you back because, as the saying goes, “Beyond fear lies victory.”
When I started my YouTube channel in November 2020, I faced numerous challenges. However, maintaining consistency in my actions paid off. Today, almost three and a half years later, I see the results of my persistent efforts. Success doesn’t happen overnight; it’s the result of continuous effort and dedication. By taking small, consistent actions every day, you can achieve your goals and make a significant impact in your life and the lives of others.

2. I Am Stuck with People Who Hurt Me

Whenever someone called or met me and asked how I was, instead of saying I was good, I would complain about how things weren’t going well, how someone disobeyed me, and why they weren’t listening to me. I focused on the negatives instead of the positives in life without realizing that I was looking for support for my thoughts.
Changing this mindset transformed my aura, energy, and perspective. It’s not easy, but believe me, it’s not impossible either. Focusing on the good can change your entire outlook on life. Surrounding yourself with positive, supportive people and distancing yourself from those who bring negativity is crucial for your mental and emotional well-being.
I also learned the importance of setting boundaries and standing up for myself. It’s okay to distance yourself from toxic relationships and focus on those who genuinely care about you and uplift you. This shift in mindset and relationships significantly improved my overall happiness and sense of fulfillment.
3. Things Will Never Get Better
We often think our conditions are the worst and that they will never improve. During COVID, when there was chaos everywhere, I told myself, “What’s the use of being scared? If I have to get COVID, I will. Fear won’t help.”
We need to learn from adversity. A good example is a caterpillar in a cocoon, seeing only darkness but eventually transforming into a butterfly. Until we face our challenges, we remain in a victim mentality. Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth.
I faced many personal and professional challenges during the pandemic, from health concerns to adapting to new ways of working. However, I learned that adversity often brings out the best in us. It forces us to innovate, adapt, and grow in ways we never thought possible.
By focusing on the lessons learned from each challenge, I was able to transform my mindset and approach problems with a more positive outlook. Adversity is not a barrier; it’s a stepping stone to becoming stronger and more resilient.

In my self-love activities, I created three columns: what I gained or learned from this person or relationship, what harm it caused to my mental peace, and whether that relationship was worthy of taking care . This exercise helped me evaluate the true value of my relationships.
Understanding this made me realize that not everyone fits into my life, and this clarity helped me know what I truly want. Relationships, whether they succeed or fail, are part of our growth and learning. They are not a waste of time; some will nurture you through love and care, while others will make you strong through tough lessons.
I also learned the importance of self-love through Kunzite crystal and Rhodonite crystal. It’s essential to value yourself and not settle for anything less than you deserve. By recognizing your worth, you can attract and maintain relationships that bring joy, support, and mutual growth.
5. Great Things Will Come with help from a dear one

Many years ago, I read somewhere that life is not easy. Despite this, I believed that with the right choices, we could make life easy and simpler.
In our quest for comfort, we often make incremental improvements that seem to ease our burdens. As a child, I walked to school. Later, to make commuting easier, my family bought me a bicycle. After that, as I kept moving in life, in order to seek more comfort, I got a two-wheeler, and eventually a car. To achieve maximum comfort, I even acquired a luxury car.
Like this most of us spent our lives collecting things to simplify life. Ironically, we now find ourselves at the gym cycling or walking in parks to stay fit, monitoring our steps to maintain health. Life, it seems, is a cycle—starting from simplicity, moving to complexity, and then returning to simplicity.

These things remind me that what I already have is more than enough for a fulfilling life.
Acceptance of Not Being Liked by Everyone
In life, I’ve come to understand that not everyone will like me, and that’s perfectly fine. Think of it this way: when I attend a wedding, a party, or even a buffet, there are numerous dishes spread out, but I don’t feel inclined to try each and every one.

As I, Dr Neeti Kaushik reflect on my upbringing, I realize that my mother’s unwavering dedication to our family left an indelible mark on me. Her selflessness was admirable, but it came at the cost of neglecting her own needs and desires. She tirelessly attended to the needs of her children, husband, and in-laws, never once pausing to consider her own well-being. Witnessing her sacrifice, I internalized the belief that prioritizing oneself was selfish and that true fulfillment came from serving others.
The Frustration of Self-Neglect
As I navigated through adulthood, I found myself following in my mother’s footsteps, always putting others’ needs ahead of my own. While I derived momentary joy from fulfilling my duties and responsibilities, I couldn’t shake off the underlying sense of emptiness and frustration. It wasn’t until I hit a breaking point that I began to question the validity of my beliefs. Why did self-care feel like an indulgence rather than a necessity? Why did I feel guilty for prioritizing my own happiness?
The Revelation: Self-Love as a Necessity
The true revelation came when I witnessed my mother’s struggle to adapt after my father’s passing. For years, she had leaned on him for every aspect of her life, relying on his strength and presence to navigate the world. But when he was suddenly taken from us, she was thrust into a reality where she had to fend for herself—a daunting prospect for someone who had grown accustomed to dependency.
In the midst of her grief and uncertainty, something remarkable happened. My mother, once confined by the walls of her own limitations, stepped outside into the vast expanse of possibility. No longer bound by the expectations of others, she ventured into the world with a newfound sense of purpose and determination.
Gone were the days of self-imposed limitations and self-neglect.
