Akshaya Tritiya 2026: 3 Rituals to Activate Real Abundance

By Neeti Kaushik • 15/04/2026 • No Comments
Let me ask you something honestly.
When you hear the words Akshaya Tritiya, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?
Gold? Jewellery? Maybe something you ordered online just because it felt right to buy something today?   I have been there. I used to think the same way.

For years, I watched people around me rush to jewellery stores on this day. And I did too, sometimes. But somewhere inside, I always felt like there was more to this day than a gold coin or a bracelet. I felt it in my bones, but I could not explain it back then.

It was only when I went deeper into my spiritual practice, studying Vedic wisdom, working with energy and healing, that I truly understood what Akshaya Tritiya is actually about.

It is not about buying wealth. It is about activating the energy of wealth inside you.

What Is Akshaya Tritiya, Really?

The word Akshaya comes from Sanskrit. It means that which never diminishes, never depletes, never ends.

Tritiya means the third lunar day, specifically the Shukla Paksha Tritiya of the month of Vaishakh. And here is what makes this day extraordinary:

On Akshaya Tritiya, the Sun and the Moon are both exalted at the same time.
Both of these celestial bodies, considered the two Kings of the Sky in Vedic astrology, are simultaneously at their peak strength.
This is rare. This is powerful. And this is why this day carries such extraordinary energy.

It is believed that whatever you begin on this day keeps growing, keeps expanding, and returns to you multiplied. Whatever energy you put out today does not just stay in the present moment. It flows forward and forward and forward, building on itself.

The Stories That Carry This Truth

I love the story of Sudama and Krishna. Sudama, a childhood friend of Lord Krishna, came to visit him in his palace, deeply ashamed of his poverty. He carried a small handful of puffed rice as a gift. Just a handful, because that was all he had. And yet, Krishna received it with such pure joy and gratitude. When Sudama returned home, his entire life had transformed. His offering, made with love and pure intention, had multiplied beyond anything he could have imagined.

Then there is the story of Draupadi’s Akshaya Patra, a sacred vessel gifted to her during the years of exile. No matter how many people ate from it, the vessel never ran empty. Unlimited abundance, flowing without end.

These are not just myths. They are teachings wrapped in story. And what they tell us is this:

Abundance, when aligned with pure intention and gratitude, does not stop.
It flows. And it multiplies.

So today, I want to share with you three rituals that I personally work with on Akshaya Tritiya. These are not complicated. You do not need to go to a store, buy expensive things, or follow a long and difficult process. You need your intention, your belief, and a few quiet minutes with yourself.

Let us begin.

Ritual 1: The Manifestation Cheque

What It Is

A manifestation cheque is a simple but deeply powerful tool. It is a way of communicating directly with your subconscious mind and with the universe, sending a clear signal that your abundance is not coming someday. It is already here.

I remember the first time I filled one out. I sat quietly, held the paper in both hands, and for the first time in a long time, I did not just wish for something. & I felt it. & I felt the number as already mine. And something shifted in me that day. Not in my bank account immediately, but in the way I carried myself. In my confidence. In my energy. The external shift followed.

How to Do It

  1. Get your manifestation cheque. You can purchase one from our website, or draw one on paper, or take a screenshot of one online and print it.
  2. Fill in your name in the “Pay to” field. Write the amount you desire. Set a future date.
  3. Hold the cheque in both hands. Look at the number. Close your eyes. Breathe.
  4. Feel it as already done. Feel the relief, the joy, the freedom. Let that feeling move through your body.
  5. Place the cheque in your wallet or keep it somewhere you will see it often.

Affirmation to say whenever you see it:
“This abundance is already mine, and it is flowing into my life with ease.”

Ritual 2: The Rice Abundance Flow Ritual

Why Rice?

In almost every tradition in India, rice is a symbol of prosperity and nourishment. It is offered in temples, scattered at weddings, poured into new homes. It represents life, sustenance, and the never-ending cycle of abundance.

This ritual is something I set up in my own kitchen years ago, and I have never stopped doing it. What I love about it is this: it is not a one-time thing. It keeps working every single day, in the most ordinary moments of your life.

How to Do It

  • Use the rice container you already have in your kitchen. No need to buy anything new.
  • Take a bay leaf (tejpatta) or a small piece of paper.
  • Write on it: “Thank you Universe for continuous and ever-growing abundance in our home.”
  • Fold it toward yourself. Place a silver or gold coin inside the fold.
  • Bury it gently at the bottom of your rice container. Continue using this rice as you normally do, and refill it when needed.

Every time you take rice from this container, say:
“With gratitude, I open the gates of endless abundance.”
This one small habit, done with awareness, keeps the energy of abundance moving in your home every single day.

Ritual 3: Intentional Giving (Daan)

The Truth About Abundance

Here is something I have learned deeply through my own life: abundance does not accumulate. It circulates. The moment you try to hold on to it out of fear, it stagnates. But when you let it flow through you, it comes back multiplied.

Akshaya Tritiya is one of the most powerful days in the entire year to give. Because what you give today returns to you not just once, but again and again.

I have seen this work in my own life in ways that still humble me. A small act of giving on this day, done with a full and open heart, has come back to me in forms and amounts I could never have predicted.

Give According to What You Want to Grow

This is the part I want you to think about carefully. Before you give, ask yourself: in which area of my life do I most want to see growth right now?

Then give accordingly:

  • For overall abundance and prosperity: Donate grains. Rice, wheat, dal, or a bag of mixed dry groceries given to a temple, shelter, or family in need. In our tradition, anna daan is one of the highest forms of giving.
  • For financial growth: Give money. The amount is not what matters. What matters is that it feels meaningful to you, and that you give it willingly, not out of obligation.
  • For health: Donate fruits, medicines, or offer your time to someone who is unwell or struggling.
  • For career, education, or knowledge: Give books, stationery, sponsor a child’s education, or simply guide someone who needs direction. Even referring someone for a job counts.

As you give, pause and say with intention:
“What I give today returns to me in multiplied blessings. Abundance flows through me, and comes back to me in greater and greater ways.”

Crystals to Work With on Akshaya Tritiya

If you work with crystals, Akshaya Tritiya is one of the most powerful days to charge and set intentions with them. The combined exalted energy of the Sun and Moon makes this day ideal for amplifying your intentions through crystal work.

Here are the five crystals I personally recommend for activating abundance energy today:

The universe is always ready to give. The question is: are you ready to receive?

A Final Word from My Heart

I want to leave you with something real today.

Abundance is not a destination. It is a state of being. It is what happens when you align your inner world, your thoughts, your beliefs, your energy, with the outer world you want to live in. Akshaya Tritiya is a gift. It is a day when the cosmos holds the door open for you, when the energy for expansion is already in the air.

But here is the truth: the door is only as useful as your willingness to walk through it.

Akshaya Tritiya is not about buying wealth.
It is about becoming someone that abundance naturally flows to.

Do these three rituals today. Do them with love. & Do them with full belief. And then watch what happens, not just today, but in the days and weeks that follow.

The energy of Akshaya means that which never diminishes. And neither does your capacity to receive it.

With love and blessings always,

Dr. Neeti Kaushik
