The Cosmic Energy of Navratri: How the Universe Supports Manifestation
Navratri is not just a festival; it is a cosmic event that aligns the universe with the divine feminine energy. It is a time when the barriers between the physical and the spiritual world become thinner, making it easier to manifest desires, cleanse karmic blockages, and elevate one’s spiritual consciousness.
Have you ever noticed that during these nine days, prayers feel more powerful, intentions gain momentum, and a sense of divine presence fills the air? This is because of the unique planetary and cosmic alignments that make Navratri a period of high vibrational energy, perfect for manifestation and spiritual growth.
Understanding the Essence of Navratri: Its Significance and Meaning
Navratri, meaning “nine nights,” is celebrated to honor the divine feminine power embodied by Goddess Durga. This festival commemorates the legendary victory of Goddess Durga over the buffalo demon Mahishasura—a symbolic triumph of good over evil. Each night represents a distinct aspect of the Goddess, reflecting qualities like strength, wisdom, compassion, and resilience.
Beyond the mythological narrative, Navratri invites devotees to embark on a journey of self-reflection, renewal, and spiritual awakening. Celebrated across India with rituals, soulful dances (such as Garba and Dandiya), fasting, and heartfelt prayers, Navratri reminds us to shed negativity and embrace transformation, fostering a balanced and harmonious life.
How Planetary and Cosmic Shifts Make Navratri Powerful
Navratri aligns with the lunar cycle, making it a time when the moon—ruler of emotions, intuition, and manifestation—plays a crucial role in amplifying energy. Each Navratri falls during the transition from the waxing to the waning moon, a period known as the ‘Sandhi Kaal’, a spiritual threshold where transformation and purification naturally occur.
Within Navratri, ‘Sandhi Kaal’ specifically refers to the juncture when Ashtami Tithi (eighth lunar day) ends and Navami Tithi (ninth lunar day) begins. This precise moment, lasting about 48 minutes, is considered highly auspicious and is marked by the performance of Sandhi Puja. According to Hindu mythology, it is believed that during this time, Goddess Chamunda emerged to vanquish the demons Chanda and Munda, symbolizing the triumph of divine energy over negative forces.
- Increased Cosmic Energy Flow: Celestial alignments during Navratri shower the earth with intense cosmic vibrations. The combined energy of the sun, moon, and other planetary bodies creates an amplified energetic field, ideal for sadhana (spiritual practice), meditation, and setting powerful intentions.
- Shift in Earth’s Magnetic Field: Ancient texts suggest that planetary positions during Navratri influence shifts in the earth’s electromagnetic field, positively affecting our bioenergetic system (chakras). This is why practices like fasting, chanting, and meditation feel exceptionally potent during these days.
- The Balance of Yin and Yang Energies: The nine nights symbolize the harmonious interplay between the masculine (Shiva) and feminine (Shakti) energies. This balance supports personal transformation by dissolving negativity and enhancing positive vibrations.
Why Wishes Manifest Faster During These Nine Days
Navratri acts as a divine gateway for manifestation, as each of the nine forms of Goddess Durga represents a unique energy that influences different aspects of our lives. By aligning with these energies, we can manifest our desires with greater ease.
For example:
1️⃣Maa Shailaputri – The epitome of purity and new beginnings, her energy supports fresh starts and setting strong foundations.
2️⃣ Maa Brahmacharini – Radiates happiness and inner joy, helping us cultivate peace and emotional strength.
3️⃣ Maa Chandraghanta – Embodies grace, prosperity, and elegance, attracting abundance and harmony.
Beyond these divine influences, several factors make manifestation more powerful during Navratri:
1. Amplified Divine Feminine Energy: Invoking Goddess Durga—an embodiment of Shakti (pure energy) connects us with a vast reservoir of creative and manifesting power. When our intentions align with her energy, the process of manifesting our dreams accelerates.
2. Clearing Karmic Blocks: Engaging in Navratri rituals—such as fasting, japa (chanting), and deep introspection—helps dissolve past karmas that might be hindering progress. This purification makes way for new blessings and opportunities.
3. The Power of Sankalpa (Intention Setting): In ancient yogic traditions, setting a Sankalpa (sacred intention) during high-energy periods is believed to significantly enhance its manifestation. By consciously directing your energy toward a specific goal during Navratri, you invite the universe to help bring it to fruition.
If you want to learn how to connect with these 9 energies of the Goddess through simple rituals and practices, I have created a special Navratri workshop for you. In this, I share the significance of each Roop, the right colors, mantras, and bhog (offering) to seek the Goddess’s blessings and enhance your manifestation power.

Harness the Power of the Spring Equinox with These Simple Rituals
Hello, dear ones! This is Dr. Neeti Kaushik, and today, I want to take you on a journey to understand one of nature’s most powerful celestial events—the March Spring Equinox. This is not just an astronomical event but a deeply spiritual and energetic shift that, when harnessed correctly, can bring profound transformations in your life.
Let’s decode what the equinox truly is, why the Spring Equinox is so special, its spiritual and astrological significance, and most importantly, how you can align yourself with this energy for maximum growth and positivity.
What is an Equinox?
Equinox comes from the Latin words aequus (equal) and nox (night), meaning ‘equal night.’ This celestial event occurs twice a year—once in March (Spring Equinox) and once in September (Autumn Equinox). On these two days, day and night are almost equal in length, as the Sun sits directly above the equator.
Why Does This Happen?
The Earth orbits the Sun in a slightly tilted position of 23.5 degrees. This tilt is what gives us different seasons throughout the year. However, during the equinox, the tilt aligns in such a way that both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres receive equal amounts of sunlight. This balance lasts for only a day, after which the days either start growing longer or shorter, depending on which hemisphere you are in.
A Universal Phenomenon
Interestingly, every culture and civilization throughout history has revered the Equinox as a sacred event. From the Great Pyramid of Egypt aligning with the Sun to the Mayan Temple of Kukulcán, which casts a serpent-like shadow during the Equinox, ancient societies understood the importance of this celestial event.
In India, several ancient temples exhibit remarkable astronomical precision, aligning with celestial events to enhance spiritual experiences:
For example, Modhera Sun Temple, Gujarat: Constructed in the 11th century, this temple is designed so that during the Equinoxes, the first rays of the rising sun illuminate the sanctum sanctorum, directly shining upon the idol of Surya, the Sun God.
The Significance of the Spring Equinox
The March Equinox marks the beginning of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere. It is the time when the cold, dark days of winter give way to warmth, light, and new beginnings.
Physical and Seasonal Importance
- Longer Days & Warmer Weather: With the Sun spending more time in the sky, temperatures begin to rise, and nature reawakens.
- New Life & Growth: Trees sprout fresh green leaves, flowers bloom, and animals emerge from hibernation, making it a season of vitality and fertility.
- Symbolic of the Cycle of Life: Just as nature regenerates itself, we too experience a period of renewal, making this a great time for fresh starts.
Spiritual and Energetic Importance
- A Time of Balance & Harmony: Just like day and night balance each other, we are encouraged to balance our mind, body, and soul.
- Shedding Old Energies: This is the best time to release negative emotions, habits, and situations that no longer serve us.
- Awakening of Higher Consciousness: Many people experience a surge in intuition, creativity, and clarity during this time.
- Gateway for Manifestation: Since the energy is ripe for new beginnings, spiritual practices like affirmations, vision boards, and gratitude journaling become even more powerful.
The Astrological Importance of Spring Equinox
From an astrological perspective, the March Equinox is highly significant because it marks the beginning of the astrological new year. This is the moment when the Sun enters Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, symbolizing fresh starts, boldness, and initiative.
- The Fire of Aries Ignites Action: Aries, ruled by Mars, is a sign of action, courage, and pioneering energy. This means that whatever intentions you set during this time have a higher chance of manifesting quickly.
- Balancing Masculine & Feminine Energies: Aries represents divine masculine energy—strong, determined, and fearless. However, the Equinox balances this by reminding us to embrace both action (masculine) and introspection (feminine) in our journey.
- Karmic Reset & Cosmic Renewal: In Vedic astrology, this period is seen as a time when past karmas can be healed, and new karmic cycles can begin. This makes spiritual practices like meditation, mantra chanting, and gratitude rituals even more effective.
In Hindu Tradition, the equinox coincides with Chaitra Navratri, a nine-day festival dedicated to Goddess Durga. It is believed to be a time of purification, fasting, and spiritual practices to invoke divine blessings. It also marks the beginning of the Hindu New Year, a perfect time to reset our energies and embark on new endeavors.
5 Powerful Activities to Harness the Energy of the Spring Equinox
The Equinox carries a strong energetic frequency, making it an ideal time to manifest desires, cleanse energies, and plant new seeds of intention. Here are five transformative activities you can do to make the most of this powerful period:
1. Donate and Give Back
Giving is one of the most sacred and high-vibrational acts you can do during this time. Whether it’s donating food, clothes, or money, the act of charity clears negative karma and attracts abundance. As my mother always taught me, true giving should be done silently—your left hand should not know what your right hand is doing. This simple yet powerful act of kindness will align you with the universe’s flow of prosperity and gratitude.
2. Strengthen Your Connections
The Equinox reminds us of balance, and one of the most essential balances in life is our relationships. Take this time to reconnect with family and loved ones. Call someone you haven’t spoken to in a while, express gratitude to your friends, or simply spend quality time with those who matter. These bonds enrich our lives and help us grow spiritually.
3. Begin a Spiritual Practice
The energy of the Equinox is perfect for starting a new spiritual habit. Whether it’s meditation, journaling, or practicing gratitude, choose one practice that resonates with you and commit to it. If you’re new to this, you can start by writing down five things you’re grateful for every morning. This small act will shift your mindset and bring positivity into your life.
4. Manifest and Set Intentions
This is the BEST time for manifestation! The energy of the Equinox amplifies your thoughts, so be mindful of what you focus on. You can practice powerful manifestation techniques like:
- 369 Method: Write your intention 3 times in the morning, 6 times in the afternoon, and 9 times before bed.
- 555 Method: Write your affirmation 55 times for 5 days straight.
- Vision Board Creation: Visualizing your goals and creating a physical representation of them boosts manifestation energy.
If you need guidance on creating a powerful vision board that aligns with your dreams, join my Vision Board Course—one specially designed for students and another covering all areas of life!
5. Cleanse and Activate Your Space
Before you can invite new blessings, you must make space for them! Clean your home, declutter unnecessary items, and clear stagnant energy. Here’s a simple energy-cleansing ritual:
- Burn incense or sage to purify the space.
- Sprinkle sea salt water around your home for cleansing.
- Open windows to let in fresh air and sunlight.
- Light a candle or diya to invite divine energy.
Once your space is cleansed, charge your crystals, affirm your intentions, and sit in meditation. Feel the shift in energy!
The Gratitude Flower Ritual
The Spring Equinox is a time of balance, renewal, and new beginnings. Flowers, which symbolize growth and transformation, can be used in a simple yet powerful gratitude ritual.
How to Perform the Ritual:
- Choose a Fresh Flower – Pick a flower that resonates with you. For example:
- Marigold for positivity
- Rose for love and self-care
- Lotus for spiritual awakening
- Hold It in Your Hands – Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Feel its softness, inhale its fragrance, and connect with its energy.
- Express Gratitude – Whisper three things you are grateful for, sending your energy and appreciation into the flower.
- Offer It to Nature – Place the flower in a bowl of water under the open sky, leave it under a tree, or gently bury it in the soil. This act symbolizes returning your gratitude to the universe, creating a cycle of abundance and positivity.
The Deeper Meaning:
- The Equinox is about balance—as nature awakens, so should our gratitude.
- Flowers represent impermanence and renewal, reminding us to cherish every moment.
- By offering the flower to nature, we align ourselves with the rhythm of the universe, welcoming growth and new opportunities.
Try this ritual during the Equinox and feel the shift in energy!
Final Thoughts
The Spring Equinox is a powerful cosmic event that reminds us of balance, renewal, and growth. Just as nature sheds the old to welcome the new, we too must embrace new possibilities, let go of past limitations, and step into our fullest potential.
This is a once-a-year opportunity to realign your energy with the universe. So take a moment, set your intentions, and trust that the universe is supporting your transformation.
Are you ready to embrace this new beginning? Let’s welcome this magical phase together!
Wishing you a powerful and abundant Spring Equinox! With love and light,
Dr. Neeti Kaushik
Holi 2025: Eclipse Rituals and Full Moon Magic You Can’t Miss!
A Cosmic Holi in 2025
Holi, the festival of colors, is one of the most joyful celebrations in India. It’s a time when we let go of grudges, laugh freely, and cover each other in bright hues. Beyond the playful colors and sweets, Holi carries a deeper meaning—the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, and a chance to start fresh. For me, Holi has always been about releasing the past and welcoming new beginnings with an open heart.
But this year, Holi 2025 is even more special. Along with the colorful celebrations, we will witness atotal lunar eclipse—a rare and powerful event. A lunar eclipse is not just a stunning sight; it is also believed to amplify energies, making it a perfect time for reflection, release, and setting new intentions. The combination of Holi and the lunar eclipse feels almost magical, as if the universe is giving us an extra push to cleanse our spirits and embrace change.
The Deeper Meaning of This Rare Combination
The lunar eclipse happens when the Earth’s shadow covers the moon, creating a mystical atmosphere. Spiritually, this event symbolizes uncovering hidden truths and letting go of what no longer serves us. It feels like a mirror, urging us to face our fears and shadows. When this powerful energy aligns with Holi’s theme of burning away the old (through the Holika Dahan bonfire), it creates a unique chance to reset our minds and hearts.
A Time to Reflect and Transform
As we gather to play with colors and light bonfires, it’s worth pausing for a moment to think:
- What old patterns or emotions am I ready to release?
- What new beginnings do I want to welcome into my life?
This Holi, it’s not just about colors on our faces but also about lightening the colors of our souls. It’s a rare opportunity to reflect, heal, and transform ourselves.
So, the big question is:
How can we use the powerful energies of Holi and the lunar eclipse to grow spiritually and start afresh?
In the following sections, let’s explore the legends of Holi, meaningful rituals, and powerful full moon practices to make this Holi truly unforgettable.
The Mythical Roots of Holi
Each story linked to Holi carries a powerful message of faith, resilience, and love. Let’s explore some of these beautiful tales and understand why Holi is celebrated with such enthusiasm.
The Story of Holika Dahan: Triumph of Faith and Goodness
The story of Holika Dahan is one of the most well-known legends of Holi. It is a tale of faith winning over evil, reminding us that no darkness can last forever.
Long ago, there was a powerful but arrogant king named Hiranyakashipu who believed himself to be invincible. His son, Prahlad, was a devoted follower of Lord Vishnu, which angered the king. Determined to stop his son from worshipping Vishnu, Hiranyakashipu planned a cruel punishment. He sought the help of his sister, Holika, who had a boon that made her immune to fire. Holika tricked Prahlad into sitting on her lap in a blazing fire, believing that he would perish.
But Prahlad’s faith was unshakeable. By the grace of Lord Vishnu, he was saved while Holika was burnt to ashes. This victory of Prahlad symbolizes how faith, truth, and goodness can defeat even the greatest evil.
Holika Dahan, the bonfire lit on the eve of Holi, reminds us to burn away negativity, grudges, and anything that dims our inner light.
Radha-Krishna’s Playful Holi: A Celebration of Divine Love
Holi is also a celebration of the playful love between Lord Krishna and Radha. According to legend, young Krishna, who was dark-skinned, was worried that fair-skinned Radha would not accept him. His mother playfully suggested that he smear Radha’s face with colors to erase the difference. Krishna did so, and Radha accepted him wholeheartedly. This story turned into a tradition that continues to this day, with people joyfully smearing colors on each other.
This legend teaches us about unconditional love and acceptance—that true love sees beyond appearances. The joyous play of colors between Radha and Krishna also symbolizes the unity of souls beyond all differences.
The Significance of Colors: Emotions, Chakras, and Energy Cleansing
The vibrant colors of Holi are not just for fun; they carry a deeper meaning. In spiritual practices, each color is linked to a chakra (energy center) in our body and represents different emotions:
- Red: Vitality and passion (Root Chakra)
- Orange: Joy and creativity (Sacral Chakra)
- Yellow: Confidence and positivity (Solar Plexus Chakra)
- Green: Healing and love (Heart Chakra)
- Blue: Communication and truth (Throat Chakra)
- Purple: Intuition and spiritual wisdom (Third Eye Chakra)
Playing with these colors is a way to cleanse our aura and balance our energies. It’s as if the festival is encouraging us to not only color our surroundings but also to fill our hearts with positivity and joy.
Rituals to Amplify Your Holi and Eclipse Experience
As we approach the last full moon of the year according to Vedic astrology, we also prepare to welcome the month of Aries, marking the beginning of a new astrological year. This powerful full moon eclipse, coinciding with the vibrant festival of Holi, brings an extraordinary opportunity to cleanse, heal, and manifest. The energies during this time are incredibly potent for letting go of all that no longer serves us—be it limited beliefs, evil eyes, past hurts, or challenges in physical and mental health.
It’s also a time to pause and express deep gratitude for the blessings of the past year, creating space to invite fresh energy and opportunities. To help you harness the powerful vibrations of this period, I’ll be sharing some transformative rituals designed to cleanse, heal, and align you for the new year ahead.
So, stay tuned as I reveal these potent rituals to help you step into the new astrological year with clarity, positivity, and renewed energy!
1. Detox and Purification
A. Fasting or Sattvic Foods:
- Consuming light, sattvic foods, or fasting before the eclipse helps in detoxifying the body and mind.
- Eating fruits, nuts, and warm herbal teas promotes clarity and prepares you for spiritual practices.
B. Spiritual Bath
Today I want to share with you a very powerful and transformative ritual—a spiritual bath that you must try this Holi and during the upcoming lunar eclipse. This practice has amazed me with its simplicity and profound impact, helping to cleanse not just the body but also the mind and soul.
The practice of spiritual bathing is ancient, rooted in the traditions of India, Egypt, Israel, and many other cultures. Even in our own history, the Great Baths of Mohenjo-Daro from around 2500 BC highlight how essential these rituals were for our ancestors.
During eclipses, the energies around us become intense, often bringing up old emotions and pent-up energies that need to be released. A spiritual bath helps to reset your mind, body, and spirit during such times.
Preparing for the Spiritual Bath
The best part about this ritual is that 90% of what you need is probably already at home! Here’s what you should gather:
- Water: If you have a bathtub, that’s perfect. If not, a bucket or a large vessel will do.
- Essential Oils: Eucalyptus, jasmine, rose, or lavender are great options.
If you are not fond of using essential oils directly, you can use essential oil-infused soaps as well. Besides this spiritual bath, you can use these soaps daily to enjoy amazing benefits.
At Subheccha, they offer natural handmade essential oil-infused soaps that not only cleanse but also help balance your chakras, leaving you refreshed and revitalized.
- Candles: Preferably white, but red or pink work well, too.
- Herbs: Rosemary, rose petals, lavender, or chamomile. Even dried rose petals can do wonders.
- Crystals: Clear quartz, rose quartz, carnelian, or citrine.
- Salt: Himalayan or sea salt is ideal for removing negativity.
- Moon Water: If you have some, add a bit. If not, regular water works too.
- Music: Soft instrumental, rain sounds, or chants to create a soothing atmosphere.
Step-by-Step Guide for the Spiritual Bath
1. Create the Ambience:
Dim the lights in your bathroom, light the candles, and play soft music. This sets the mood for a calming and sacred experience.
2. Prepare the Bath:
Add salt, essential oils, herbs, and crystals to the water. If you’re using a bucket, you can add a handful of each. Stir the water with your right hand clockwise, imagining it infused with positivity and light.
3. Set Your Intention:
Before entering the bath, close your eyes and express gratitude for this opportunity to cleanse. Silently say what you wish to let go of—grudges, anxieties, or any negativity. Then, declare what you want to invite—peace, clarity, love, or success.
4. Enter the Bath:
If you have a tub, soak for at least 20-30 minutes. Visualize all negativity being pulled out and replaced by white light. If using a bucket, pour the water slowly, starting from your head, imagining it washing away stress and impurities.
5. Chakra Cleansing:
Focus on each chakra, starting from the root to the crown. Visualize them being bathed in light, balancing and aligning them. Spend 2-3 minutes on each chakra, breathing deeply.
6. Gratitude and Completion:
After bathing, stand still for a few moments. Express gratitude to the universe for this cleansing. Thank the water, the herbs, and the energies for their support.
7. Dispose of Ingredients Properly:
If you’ve used herbs and petals, collect them and either bury them in the soil or dispose of them respectfully. Do not leave them in the bathroom.
8. Post-Bath Ritual:
Light a diya or a candle at your altar, offer a prayer, and spend a few moments in silence. Visualize yourself surrounded by a protective shield of divine light.
2. Fire Rituals:
Traditional Ubtan Ritual: Cleansing Body and Spirit 🌸
I love exploring traditional practices that hold profound spiritual meanings. One such ritual that amazed me is widely practiced in many areas of Bihar during Holi. It involves a special ubtan made with roasted mustard seeds and raw turmeric, which not only benefits the skin but also holds deep spiritual significance.
Making the Ubtan:
- Prepare an ubtan by roasting mustard seeds and grinding them with raw turmeric (haldi) to make a fine paste.
- Mustard seeds help exfoliate the skin, while turmeric adds a natural glow and acts as cleanser.
Application Ritual:
- Apply this paste gently on yourself and your family members’ hands and legs, starting from the feet and moving upward.
- As you rub it slowly, visualize not just dirt but also any disease, negativity, evil eyes, and harmful energies peeling away.
- The act of peeling off the ubtan represents shedding negativity and past burdens, leaving the body and spirit purified.
Burning in Holika Dahan:
- Collect the peeled-off ubtan and, with a prayer of gratitude, throw it into the Holika Dahan fire.
- As the ubtan burns, imagine all the evil eyes, negative energies, and any ill effects turning to ashes, freeing you and your loved ones from their impact.
- This ritual not only purifies the body but also acts as a spiritual shield, ensuring a fresh start with positive energies.
I personally find this ritual fascinating because it beautifully blends physical cleansing with spiritual protection, making it a truly holistic practice for Holi.
- Letting Go Ritual: On a small piece of paper, write down what you wish to let go of, such as:
- “I release my fears of failure.”
- “I let go of past grudges and embrace forgiveness.”
- “I release self-doubt and welcome self-confidence.”
Fold the paper neatly and, with a sincere prayer, burn it in the Holika Dahan fire.As the paper burns, visualize these burdens dissolving into ashes, making space for new opportunities and positivity.
3. Gratitude Ritual: Writing a Gratitude Letter
One of the most powerful activities during this full moon eclipse and Holi is the Gratitude Ritual. This ritual is a heartfelt way to honor the blessings of the past year, recognize the lessons learned, and create a strong foundation of positivity as you step into the new astrological year.
Start your letter by addressing the universe, your higher self, or simply writing “Dear Universe.” Here’s an example of how to craft your gratitude letter:
Sample Gratitude Letter:
Dear Universe,
Thank you for the year that has passed, for every sunrise and sunset that reminded me of life’s beauty. I am grateful for the moments of joy and laughter shared with my loved ones, for the opportunities that helped me grow, and for the quiet mornings when I found peace in my heart.
I am especially thankful for the challenges that tested my patience and strength, for they taught me resilience and faith. The setbacks, though hard, revealed my inner courage and guided me to a clearer path.
Thank you for the support of my family and friends, for the unexpected blessings that came my way, and for the simple joys that brightened even the darkest days.
As I step into the new year, I carry forward this gratitude with an open heart and a hopeful spirit. I trust that the coming year will unfold with grace and abundance. Thank you for everything.
With love and gratitude,
[Your Name]
Where to Write Your Gratitude Letter:
You can write this letter in your Gratitude Journal if you have one, or simply on a beautiful piece of paper. Once written, fold the letter neatly and keep it safe in a place that feels special to you—like a journal, a keepsake box, or even your altar if you have one. This letter will serve as a token of gratitude, a reminder of all that you’ve been blessed with, and an anchor of positivity as you move forward.
Take your time with this ritual, let every word come from the heart, and feel the gratitude fill you with warmth and peace.
A Holi to Remember
This Holi, with the added intensity of the full moon eclipse, is more than just a festival of colors. It’s an opportunity to cleanse the past, release old energies, and embrace a new chapter filled with possibilities. By engaging in the powerful rituals of letting go, offering gratitude, and aligning with the cosmic energies, you can step into the new astrological year with a refreshed mind, body, and spirit.
As you celebrate the colors of Holi, remember that the true essence of this festival lies in the renewal of your spirit and the welcoming of fresh energy into your life.

A Day in the Life of a Life Coach: Lessons I’ve Learned from My Clients
“In teaching others, we teach ourselves.”
Being a life coach is not just a profession—it’s a sacred calling. It’s about holding space for transformation, bearing witness to vulnerability, and walking hand-in-hand with souls as they journey back to their truth. Every session is more than a conversation; it’s a doorway into the human spirit—a place where healing begins and potential unfolds.
My days are filled with more than just schedules and sessions. They’re filled with stories. Stories of pain, of purpose, of awakening. As someone deeply rooted in astrology, numerology, crystal healing, and spiritual practices, my role goes beyond traditional coaching. I help people realign with their soul’s blueprint, break cycles of fear and doubt, and trust the divine rhythm of their lives.
I’ve sat with clients who felt lost and watched them rediscover their light. I’ve held space for grief and seen it alchemize into growth. And through it all, I’ve learned—oh, how I’ve learned.
Here are some of the most powerful lessons my clients have gifted me—lessons that haven’t just transformed their lives, but have gently and profoundly shaped my own.
1. Transformation Begins with Self-Awareness
I once had a client, a successful corporate professional, who seemed to have it all—money, recognition, and a great career. But deep inside, he felt empty. No matter how much he achieved, something always felt missing.
During our sessions, we looked at his birth chart and found Ketu strongly placed. Ketu often makes people question their life’s purpose, and that’s exactly what was happening. He was chasing success but didn’t feel truly fulfilled.
We also noticed he wasn’t practicing gratitude. His life was full, but he never took a moment to appreciate what he had. This constant feeling of “what next?” left him feeling lost.
With small changes, things started shifting. He began practicing gratitude—writing down things he was thankful for and appreciating life’s little joys. He also started helping others through donations and volunteering.
Slowly, he found meaning beyond his career. These simple changes brought him a sense of peace and purpose. Eventually, he even moved towards work he truly loved.
If you want to make gratitude a daily practice, I have curated a very simple Gratitude Journal that you can use effortlessly. Start your journey of thankfulness and see the magic unfold!
2. Courage is Not the Absence of Fear, But the Willingness to Move Forward Anyway
Fear is a constant companion on the journey of life. One of my clients, a single mother, came to me paralyzed with self-doubt. She had been in an emotionally draining relationship, and stepping out of it felt like stepping into the unknown. She wanted to move forward but felt lost and unsure of herself.
During our sessions, I suggested she start meditating with a 7-chakra crystal set to balance and strengthen her energy centers, especially the solar plexus chakra—her center of confidence and personal power. Along with this, she incorporated 7-chakra affirmation cards into her daily routine, reading them every morning and night to reprogram her thoughts and build self-belief.
Each session was a step forward. From making small decisions for herself to finally reclaiming her independence, she transformed in ways she never imagined. She taught me one of the most powerful lessons: Courage isn’t about being fearless; it’s about feeling the fear and still taking action. And when we align with our truth, the universe always supports us in ways beyond our imagination.
3. Perfection is an Illusion, Progress is What Matters
I have seen so many people hold themselves back because they are waiting for the ‘perfect moment’—the perfect job, the perfect relationship, the perfect planetary alignment. One of my clients, Shelija, was a gifted artist, but when she first came to me, she was overwhelmed with self-doubt and scattered thoughts. She had immense talent but refused to share her work because she believed it ‘wasn’t good enough yet.’
Through numerology, we explored her life path number, which revealed her innate potential for creativity and self-expression. I encouraged her to embrace this gift and suggested she use citrine, a crystal known for boosting confidence and abundance, and amazonite, which helps release self-doubt and enhances creative flow. With these, she started aligning her energy with her true potential.
The shift was gradual but powerful. She started a watercolor art page, taking small but consistent steps forward. With time, confidence replaced hesitation. She began sharing her work online, and the response was incredible. Today, her page has over 65,000 followers, and she successfully conducts workshops, inspiring countless others to embrace their creativity.
The lesson? Waiting for perfection is just another way of staying stuck. Take the step, even if it’s small. Progress—not perfection—is what leads to success.
4. Everyone Has Their Own Pace
Healing and growth are not linear. I remember working with a client who wanted immediate change. They wanted to feel better, heal their wounds, and step into a new life—all within a few sessions. But healing doesn’t work like that. It’s like the moon phases—sometimes it’s full and bright, other times it’s hidden and introspective.
We worked with moonstone to embrace patience and divine timing. Over time, they understood that every person has their own rhythm, their own journey. Some take leaps, others take baby steps. The key is to honor where you are and trust that everything is unfolding as it should.
5. The Power of Support is Undeniable
Many people come to me thinking they must walk this journey alone. They believe that spirituality, healing, and personal growth are solitary paths. But time and time again, I’ve seen the magic that happens when people open themselves to support.
One of my clients was struggling with overwhelming emotions. As we talked, I discovered that she was suffering from inner child wounds—deep-seated pain from her past that was now affecting her present. She kept entering the wrong relationships, repeating patterns that left her feeling hurt and unworthy of love.
Through our sessions, we worked on healing her inner child. I suggested she use rhodonite, a powerful crystal for emotional healing and self-worth, along with practicing the Ho’oponopono prayer, a beautiful Hawaiian method of forgiveness and emotional cleansing. She also enrolled in a self-love course, which helped her recognize her true value, set healthy boundaries, and rebuild her confidence.
With time, she started releasing the pain she had carried for years. By embracing self-love and healing, she gained confidence, broke free from toxic patterns, and finally welcomed a happy, loving relationship into her life.
The lesson? No one is an island. We all need love, guidance, and a safe space to heal. True transformation begins when we open our hearts—to ourselves and to the support around us.
Final Thoughts: The Journey of a Life Coach
Every day in my life as a coach is a lesson in humility, empathy, and connection. But before I could hold space for others, I had to walk through my own storms.
I always felt that as long as my father and mother were by my side, I could overcome anything. They were my strength, my protection, my safe haven. But when I lost them both, my world shattered. I was devastated, struggling to make sense of life without their presence.
Slowly, I realized that our life path is already woven with lessons we are meant to face—some in the form of emotional pain, some as challenges that shake us to our core. There is no way to escape them; we can only move through them, learning and growing with each step. My parents were my anchors, but their love, wisdom, and blessings still guide me. Their absence taught me resilience, self-belief, and the strength to carry on.
So if you ever feel lost, remember—your journey is uniquely yours. There is no rush, no perfect timeline, no need to have it all figured out. Trust the process, trust yourself, and trust the universe. Everything is unfolding just as it should, and even in the hardest moments, you are never truly alone.

Shivratri: Rituals, Spiritual Benefits & Personal Transformation
The Most Powerful Night for Transformation
Shivratri, which falls on February 26th this year, is considered the most powerful night for spiritual transformation. It is not just a religious festival, but an opportunity to elevate one’s consciousness and align with the divine energy that sustains the universe. This sacred night is believed to be when the cosmic energy is at its peak, providing the ideal conditions for meditation, chanting, and purification.
The night holds immense significance as it allows us to dissolve old negative patterns, purify our energy, and invite divine blessings into our lives. In this article, I will take you through the deeper meaning behind Shivratri, its spiritual essence, and powerful rituals that can help you experience profound personal transformation.
The Deeper Meaning of Shivratri
Mahashivratri, meaning “The Great Night of Shiva,” is one of the most spiritually significant nights in the Hindu calendar. It is observed on the fourteenth day of every lunar month, a day before the new moon. However, among the twelve Shivratris that occur in a year, the one that falls between February and March is regarded as the most auspicious and sacred.
Shivratri, marks the union of Shiva (consciousness) and Shakti (energy). This sacred night represents the merging of the two fundamental forces that govern existence—consciousness and energy. It is also believed to be the time when Lord Shiva performed the Tandava, the cosmic dance symbolizing creation, preservation, and dissolution.
This night is unique due to a natural cosmic alignment that facilitates an upsurge of energy within the human system. The northern hemisphere of the Earth is positioned in such a way that this natural energy pushes individuals toward their spiritual peak.
Shiva as a Symbol of Inner Transformation
Shiva is more than a deity—he is the embodiment of the cosmic energy that resides within all of us. The essence of Shiva teaches us profound life lessons:

-
- Breaking Negative Cycles: Breaking free from old, limiting patterns to make room for new beginnings.
-
- Self-Realization: Recognizing the true self beyond the material realm.
Shiva’s presence encourages us to transcend ego and attachment, thus guiding us toward spiritual freedom.
Benefits of Observing Shivratri

The Science Behind Staying Awake (Jagran)
During Shivratri, the alignment of the planets creates a powerful energy flow, enhancing spiritual practices. Staying awake and engaging in focused spiritual practices helps align the body, mind, and soul with this higher cosmic energy. It is believed that keeping the spine erect throughout the night facilitates the free flow of energy, activating higher states of awareness.

Are You Attracting Love or Lust? Unraveling the Patterns of Your Heart
By Dr. Neeti Kaushik
Valentine’s Day is often portrayed as the ultimate celebration of love. But have you ever paused to ask yourself—are you truly attracting love, or are you merely falling into the trap of lust and fleeting emotions? Through my consultations, I have observed that relationships are often the most problematic areas in people’s lives. Time and again, I meet individuals who find themselves in toxic, unfulfilling relationships, wondering why they keep attracting the wrong person. The truth lies deep within—our childhood, our traumas, and the subconscious definition of love we formed long before we even started dating.
This article is not just another Valentine’s special; it is a must-read for anyone seeking genuine love and a fulfilling relationship. Let’s dive deep into the reasons behind our repeated relationship mistakes and uncover the key to attracting true love.
The Childhood Blueprint: How Our Past Shapes Our Love Life
From the moment we are born, we begin forming our understanding of love. The way our parents nurtured (or neglected) us, the way they treated each other, and the way love was expressed in our home all left imprints on our hearts.
Many of my clients share eerily similar stories—growing up in households where love was conditional, where validation had to be earned, or where affection was scarce. As a result, they unconsciously develop beliefs like:
- Love means sacrifice.
- Love is painful.
- I have to work hard to be loved.
- If I am not needed, I will be abandoned.
These subconscious beliefs govern the relationships we attract. If love was synonymous with suffering in childhood, we unknowingly chase partners who replicate the same patterns.
I remember a client, who had grown up watching his mother stay in an emotionally abusive marriage. He told me, “I always thought love meant enduring pain and making sacrifices.” As a result, he kept falling for partners who took him for granted, mistook his kindness for weakness, and never truly appreciated him. It was only when he consciously unlearned this belief that he was able to attract a partner who valued and respected him.
Similarly, one of my other client was raised in a home where love was only shown when she achieved something. If she scored well in exams, she got affection; if she failed, she felt ignored. This taught her that love was conditional. She carried this belief into her relationships, constantly feeling she had to prove her worth. She chose partners who made her feel like she had to earn their love, leading to cycles of emotional exhaustion. The day she recognized this, she began her healing journey.
Awareness is the first step to healing. When we recognize these patterns, we can consciously break them. Healing your inner child is a powerful way to reshape your beliefs about love and relationships. Rhodonite crystal can be a powerful companion in this healing journey, helping you release emotional wounds and cultivate self-love.
If this resonates with you, I’ve created a detailed video on inner child healing. Do watch it—because true love begins with healing yourself.

The Endless Cycle: Why We Attract the Wrong Person Again and Again
Do you ever feel like you are trapped in a loop, attracting the same kind of toxic relationships over and over? One of my clients, let’s call her Meera, was heartbroken when her third consecutive relationship ended in betrayal. She told me, “Dr. Neeti, why do I always fall for the wrong person? They all seem different in the beginning, but eventually, they hurt me in the same way.”
The answer lies in the subconscious mind. Our brain seeks familiarity, even if it’s painful. If we grew up in an environment where love was inconsistent, we unknowingly chase people who provide that same inconsistency.
Here’s how this cycle works:
- You attract a partner who mirrors your past experiences. At first, they seem exciting, different, and full of potential.
- The relationship starts with intensity, but soon, the old wounds resurface. You start noticing patterns similar to your past relationships.
- You ignore the red flags, hoping things will change. The fear of abandonment or loneliness keeps you stuck.
- The relationship turns toxic, leaving you heartbroken and confused. You promise yourself it won’t happen again—only to repeat the cycle with someone new.
It’s heartbreaking to see how many people continue to relive the same pain, simply because they haven’t been able to identify the root cause of their patterns.
Lust vs. Love: Understanding the Difference
It’s common to mistake intense attraction for love, but the truth is, they are worlds apart. While both can feel powerful, their impact on your life is vastly different. Understanding the difference between lust and love can unlock a deeper understanding of your relationships.
One of my client, kept falling for men who made her heart race but left her feeling empty inside. “I thought I was in love,” she confessed, “but I realized they never truly saw me. They only saw what they wanted to see.” It was only after working on herself that she was able to recognize what real love felt like—gentle, kind, and reassuring, rather than just thrilling and uncertain.
Here are 6 Key Differences Between Lust vs. Love:
- Lust is physical; love is emotional. Lust is all about that immediate physical attraction—think of that rush you feel when you see someone and can’t take your eyes off them. It’s driven by the brain’s reward system, sparking desire and instant gratification. Love, however, isn’t based on appearances alone. It’s the emotional connection, the understanding, and the trust that form the foundation of a lasting bond. It’s about two people coming together and growing emotionally, even when the spark fades.
- Lust fades; love endures. Lust burns bright but fades quickly, especially when the initial rush of physical attraction wears off. But love? It deepens with time. When a relationship is based on love, you’ll find that the connection only grows stronger through the years, surviving through the highs and lows of life. True love stands the test of time, while lust struggles to stick around.
- Lust is fantasy; love is reality. From a young age, we’re often fed stories of a prince riding in on a white horse, or fairy tales where love is instantaneous and perfect. Movies, novels, and stories shape our understanding of love, filling our minds with images of ideal partners and dreamlike relationships. These fantasies create a longing for a certain kind of love, where everything feels magical, like when we touch, we feel a sensation, or when we look into each other’s eyes, everything falls into place. Lust thrives on these fantasies—on the idealized partner, the thrilling but often flawed vision of what love should be.
However, love is grounded in reality. It’s about accepting your partner for who they truly are—flaws and all. Love doesn’t shy away from imperfections; it embraces them. It’s the choice to stay through the ups and downs, to grow together through challenges, rather than expecting the idealized fantasy to always play out.
- Lust is about excitement; love is about friendship. Sure, lust brings excitement and energy to a relationship, but love is built on something deeper—a friendship. In love, you don’t just have a lover, you have a best friend. You share the good times and tough moments, communicate openly, and support one another’s growth. Without this underlying friendship, a relationship will struggle to stand the test of time.
- Lust seeks thrill; love seeks stability. Brain scans of people in lust show that their brain activity mirrors that of someone getting a hit of cocaine. It’s that intense rush, the thrill of the chase, and the desire for more. But love is different. It doesn’t thrive on a rush—it seeks stability. True love is calm and steady, building a foundation of security and trust.
- Lust is selfish; love is selfless. Lust is about you. It’s about satisfying personal desires, boosting your ego, and fulfilling immediate needs. In love, the focus shifts away from yourself and onto your partner. It’s about mutual care, support, and making each other’s dreams a reality. Love is about giving—helping the other person grow and become their best self, without expecting anything in return.
The Power of Self-Love: Your First Relationship is With Yourself
One of the most profound lessons I have learned and now teach my clients is that love begins within. If you don’t love yourself, you will always seek external validation, falling for those who exploit your insecurities.
Self-love is not about arrogance; it is about self-respect. It is about knowing that you are complete on your own. When you love yourself:
- You stop settling for less than you deserve.
- You attract partners who value and respect you.
- You recognize red flags early and walk away without guilt.
A client of mine, once told me, “I realized that I kept accepting breadcrumbs because deep down, I didn’t believe I deserved more.” The day he started prioritizing himself was the day he broke free from toxic relationships and finally attracted a healthy, loving partner.
I know this journey isn’t always easy—that’s why I have curated a self-love course based on my own experiences, filled with powerful activities to help you build a deep, unshakable love for yourself.
This Valentine’s Day, instead of waiting for love from someone else, gift yourself the most important love of all—self-love. Join me in this transformative course, and let’s begin this journey together.
Breaking Free: How to Attract True Love
If you are tired of repeating the same mistakes, it’s time to make conscious changes:
- Heal Your Inner Child: Acknowledge your past wounds and work on healing them.
- Redefine Love: Stop associating love with pain and struggle. True love is supportive and kind.
- Identify Patterns: Reflect on your past relationships. Do they follow a similar script? Break the cycle consciously.
- Practice Self-Love: Treat yourself the way you wish to be treated by your ideal partner.
- Set Healthy Boundaries: Love should never require you to compromise your self-worth.
Fulfill Your Own Needs
We often expect our partners to meet all our needs—financial security, emotional support, affection, time, care, and everything in between. But ask yourself: Is that truly fair? Are you willing to give your partner all that you seek, or are you silently waiting for someone else to complete you? True love begins when we stop seeking perfection from others and learn to offer it to ourselves first. If you desire financial stability, learn to build your own. If you seek emotional support, first heal the wounds within you. Only when you learn to meet your own needs will you stop settling for less than you deserve. And once you do, you will attract a love that mirrors the beautiful energy you’ve cultivated within yourself.
Final Thoughts: A Call to Transform Your Love Life
This Valentine’s Day, instead of seeking love outside, start by looking within. Love is not about finding someone to complete you—it is about finding someone who complements the wholeness you already possess.
To all those who have been hurt, disappointed, and let down in love—know this: The right love exists, but it begins with you. Heal yourself, break free from the past, and you will attract the love you truly deserve.
With love and light,

The Secret to Building a Fulfilling Career
Throughout our lives, many of us chase titles, promotions, and larger paychecks, believing these are the markers of success. But in reality, how many of us are truly fulfilled in what we do?
The journey toward a meaningful career isn’t just about climbing the corporate ladder—it’s about finding purpose and joy in what you do every day. In this article, I’ll share some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way and how they can help you build a career that brings you satisfaction, fulfillment, and lasting joy.
1. Success Isn’t One-Size-Fits-All
Early in my career, I found myself measuring my success by societal standards. The more I climbed, the more I felt the weight of expectations. I was an educator, then a Principal, and everything in me was driven by the idea that I needed to prove myself—by managing larger schools, leading bigger teams, and receiving recognition. But the moment I shifted my focus toward understanding what I wanted from my career, I began to feel more aligned with my purpose.
Success, I realized, isn’t about what others think you should achieve. It’s about defining what fulfillment looks like for you. Some people may thrive in corporate environments, while others find purpose in small businesses, creative roles, or helping others grow through coaching.
When I started my venture, ‘Nitty Gritty with Dr. Neeti Kaushik’, I wasn’t chasing traditional success. I wanted to make a genuine difference in people’s lives, using my passion for education, astrology, numerology, and coaching. It wasn’t about the paycheck or the accolades, but the joy of seeing people transform through my work.
2. Growth Comes From Stepping Outside Your Comfort Zone
One of the most pivotal moments in my career was when I decided to step out of my comfortable and well-established role as a principal to start my YouTube channel, Nitty Gritty with Dr. Neeti Kaushik. That decision was scary. It felt like stepping off a ledge into the unknown. But that leap of faith was essential for my growth.
Whether it’s taking on a challenging role or learning something completely new, it’s in those moments of uncertainty that you find your true potential. Don’t shy away from challenges just because they feel intimidating or risky. Growth requires courage and a willingness to embrace the unknown.
In my case, moving from education into coaching and content creation felt like a complete reinvention of myself, but I learned more than I could have imagined. Each challenge stretched my capabilities, and each success reaffirmed my commitment to this new path.
3. Build Relationships, Not Just a Résumé
When I first entered the professional world, I thought success was all about building an impressive résumé. I made sure to acquire all the skills and qualifications that I thought would make me stand out. But what truly made the biggest difference in my career was building relationships.
I’ve been fortunate to work with mentors, colleagues, and peers who not only shared their wisdom but also uplifted me in my journey. These relationships have been priceless in shaping the direction of my career. In fact, many of my most fulfilling opportunities came not through applications or interviews but through personal connections—people who saw potential in me and offered guidance when I needed it most.
Investing in genuine relationships—whether with colleagues, mentors, or peers—will always be more rewarding than simply accumulating titles. Those connections can open doors you didn’t even know existed.
4. Balance Is the Key to Longevity
As a School Principal and educator, I often felt like I had to prove myself through long hours, constant availability, and sacrificing my personal time. It wasn’t until I reached a point of exhaustion that I realized how crucial balance was for maintaining both success and happiness in my career. No job, no title, and no paycheck are worth sacrificing your health or well-being.
During those years of overwork, I neglected my own needs, and it took a toll on me physically and emotionally. That experience taught me the importance of setting boundaries, prioritizing rest, and creating space for things outside of work that give life meaning.
You must protect your time and energy—not just for your career, but for your life as a whole. The more balanced you are, the more sustainable your success will be.
5. Keep Learning. Always.
In an ever-evolving world, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking that once you’ve achieved a certain level of success, you no longer need to learn. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Lifelong learning is the foundation of a thriving career. Whether it’s through workshops, books, courses, or new experiences, constantly learning helps you stay adaptable and relevant.
I’ve always believed in continuous learning—not just for career advancement, but for personal growth. From deepening my knowledge of Astrology and Numerology to exploring new coaching techniques, I make it a point to keep upgrading my skills.
Staying curious and open to new ideas will keep you excited about your work and allow you to bring fresh perspectives to the table.
One of the most powerful tools I’ve used for gaining clarity and manifesting my goals was a Vision Board. It has helped me visualize my dreams, stay focused, and take actionable steps toward achieving them. If you want to know how a Vision Board can help you in your career and life, you can join my detailed Vision Board Mastery Course on this and learn how to create one that truly works for you.
Additionally, I’ve found that working with crystals like Carnelian and Clear Quartz has been incredibly beneficial in maintaining clarity and focus. Carnelian helps boost motivation and creativity, while Clear Quartz enhances mental clarity and decision-making. These simple tools have played a significant role in my journey, helping me stay aligned with my goals.
Your Career Is a Journey, Not a Destination
Your career is a journey—not just a destination. It’s a process of discovering who you are, what you truly value, and how you can contribute to the world in meaningful ways. You don’t have to follow a traditional path to find success and fulfillment. In fact, some of the most rewarding careers are the ones that are built on passion, growth, relationships, and balance.
Throughout my own career, I’ve learned that a fulfilling professional journey doesn’t come from chasing external markers of success. Instead, it comes from being true to yourself, embracing growth, building authentic relationships, and making time for the things that bring joy and balance into your life.
I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on your career path. Is it fulfilling? Does it bring you joy? And if not, what small changes can you make to start building the career of your dreams?
Your career is not just a job—it’s a journey of discovery, growth, and contribution. Make it one you’re proud of every step of the way.

Vasant Panchami 2025: Simple Rituals for Success & Growth
I have always believed that some festivals are more than just rituals—they are experiences, lessons, and reminders of life’s deeper meaning. Vasant Panchami is one such festival.
For me, this day has always been about two things: seeking wisdom and embracing new beginnings. Whether it was my childhood days, placing books in front of Maa Saraswati’s idol and hoping to become wiser overnight (didn’t we all do that?) or my years as an educator, encouraging students to embrace learning as a lifelong journey—this festival has always held a special place in my heart.
But Vasant Panchami is not just about worshiping Goddess Saraswati; it carries within it stories of divine wisdom, devotion, love, and even a powerful lesson on transformation. So, today, let me take you through some of these stories, along with my reflections, so we can celebrate this festival in a more meaningful way.
The Divine Origins of Maa Saraswati: The Goddess of Wisdom
I remember, as a child, I read this story of Maa Saraswati’s birth, and even today, it feels just as magical.
Imagine a world without sound—no birds chirping, no laughter, no music. Just an eerie silence.
This was exactly what Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe, felt when He set out to admire His magnificent creation. Everything looked beautiful—the mountains, rivers, and lush forests—but something was missing. Life on Earth seemed lifeless.
Pondering upon this, Brahma decided to gift the world something extraordinary—a voice, music, and the ability to express emotions.
So, with a wave of His hand, He took holy water from His Kamandal (sacred water pot) and sprinkled it over the Earth. Suddenly, from a nearby tree, emerged a divine angel—clad in a radiant white saree, holding a veena (musical instrument) in her delicate hands. Her face glowed with wisdom, and a tranquil smile adorned her lips.
Brahma, overjoyed, addressed her, “Oh Divine One! Bless this world with your voice, so it may be filled with music, wisdom, and joy.”
And with that, the celestial being began playing the veena. As the first notes of music resonated in the air, everything changed. Birds chirped, rivers gushed melodiously, humans found their voices, and even the wind seemed to dance to her tunes.
This divine being was none other than Maa Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom, learning, music, and art. From that day, Vasant Panchami became her birthday—the day knowledge and creativity were gifted to the world.
Even today, before I start something new—be it writing, learning, or a creative endeavor—I seek Maa Saraswati’s blessings, just like I did in school before exams, hoping she would grant me some extra wisdom!
Regional Celebrations: Vasant Panchami Across India
What makes Vasant Panchami even more fascinating is how different states have their unique ways of celebrating it. Let’s take a journey across India and see how this festival unfolds:
1. West Bengal – Grand Saraswati Puja and Social Messages in Pandals
If you have ever been to Kolkata during Saraswati Puja, you’ll know it’s no less than a festival of its own! The city is filled with beautifully decorated Saraswati Puja Pandals, much like Durga Puja.
Students across Bengal place their books and musical instruments at Maa Saraswati’s feet, praying for wisdom and success.
For Bengali families, Vasant Panchami is also considered an auspicious day to introduce young children to their first letters, a ritual called Hate Khori.
2. Punjab – A Festival of Zeal, Folk Dance, and Festive Feasts
In Punjab, Basant Panchami is celebrated with unmatched energy. People dress in bright yellow outfits, symbolizing joy and prosperity, and gather for folk music and dance performances.
A special dish that holds significance on this day is Makki di Roti and Sarson da Saag—a delightful treat enjoyed with white butter and jaggery. The fields of Punjab, filled with blooming mustard flowers, perfectly align with the festival’s spirit.
Kite flying is also a huge tradition here, and people engage in friendly battles to see who can keep their kite in the air the longest.
3. Bihar & Jharkhand – Devotion and Goddess Saraswati Pandals
In the eastern states of Bihar and Jharkhand, Saraswati Puja is a community celebration, much like Durga Puja in Bengal. Large Saraswati idols are placed in beautifully crafted pandals, where students and devotees come together to seek blessings.
One of my favorite aspects of celebrating Basant Panchami here is seeing young kids, dressed in white and yellow, reciting prayers and making offerings of white sesame seeds, fruits, and sweets.
4. Gujarat – Songs of Krishna and Radha Fill the Air
People dress in yellow, prepare delicious sweets like Shrikhand and Basundi, and offer prayers to Maa Saraswati. Kite flying is also a huge tradition in Ahmedabad and Vadodara, turning the sky into a colorful canvas.
5. Uttarakhand – Worship of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati
In the hill state of Uttarakhand, the celebrations take on a spiritual tone. Along with Maa Saraswati, people also worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
One of the most beautiful traditions here is the exchange of garlands among family and friends, symbolizing love and togetherness. In many villages, a community feast is organized where people come together to cook and share meals, strengthening social bonds.
Simple Yet Powerful Rituals for Vasant Panchami

Vasant Panchami is a festival we have all grown up celebrating—whether at home, in schools, or in temples. Schools organize special prayers, students place their books before the deity, and we wear yellow outfits to symbolize prosperity and wisdom.
But over the years, I have realized that this day is not just about rituals; it’s about setting the tone for personal and professional growth. When celebrated mindfully, Vasant Panchami can become a powerful day to invite knowledge, clarity, and success into our lives.
So today, let me share some simple yet deeply transformational activities that can bring incredible changes when practiced with faith and consistency.
1. Light a Diya or Candle – Invite the Light of Wisdom
Lighting a diya (oil lamp) or a yellow candle is one of the simplest yet most powerful spiritual practices. It symbolizes the removal of darkness (ignorance) and the welcoming of light (wisdom and clarity).
How to do it:
- Light a diya in the morning near your study table, workspace, or home temple.
- If you’re a student or professional, place the diya near your books, laptop, or important documents.
- While lighting the diya, say a silent prayer:
“Maa Saraswati, please bless me with wisdom, clarity, and focus.”
Why it’s powerful:
This simple act sets an intention for knowledge and clarity, and it’s believed that the fire element helps in improving concentration and focus.
2. Place Your Books, Laptop, or Study Tools Near Your Temple

Since childhood, we have followed the beautiful tradition of placing our books in front of Maa Saraswati. But in today’s digital world, where we rely on laptops and tablets for learning and work, even these can be placed near the temple as an offering.
How to do it:
- Take your books, study material, laptop, or work files and place them near the idol or picture of Maa Saraswati.
- Offer yellow flowers, turmeric, or a small diya as a sign of devotion.
- Mentally set an intention for success and knowledge.
Why it’s powerful:
This small practice energizes your study or work materials and creates a sacred connection between you and the wisdom you seek.
3. Chanting the Medha Sukhtam – The Mantra for Intelligence & Focus
One of the most powerful Saraswati mantras that has now become a part of my daily practice is the Medha Sukhtam. It is an ancient Vedic chant that helps in sharpening memory, improving intelligence, and enhancing articulation.
How to do it:
- Listen to or chant the Medha Sukhtam on Vasant Panchami.
- Even if you can’t chant it daily, play a recording in the morning while getting ready or working.
- If you’re a student, play it while studying—it is said to improve concentration and retention power.
My personal experience:
Ever since I made this a daily habit, I have noticed a remarkable shift in my focus and clarity. Trust me, whether you’re a student, a professional, or a parent, this mantra has the power to bring magic into your life.
4. Create a Vision Board – The Best Ritual for Students & Professionals
Vasant Panchami marks new beginnings, making it the perfect day to create or update a vision board. A vision board is a powerful tool that helps in manifesting goals by giving them a visual representation.
Why it’s powerful:
When you see your goals daily, your subconscious mind starts working towards them, and with Maa Saraswati’s blessings, things start falling into place beautifully.
If you are a student or a professional looking to create a powerful vision board with the right techniques, you can join my Vision Board Course, specially designed to help you manifest your academic and career success with clarity and confidence.
5. Eat & Offer Yellow Sweets – The Color of Positivity
Yellow is the color of prosperity, wisdom, and enlightenment, which is why it’s considered auspicious to eat and offer yellow-colored food on this day.
Traditional foods to include:
Kesari Halwa (Saffron sweet dish)
Boondi Ladoo
Sweet Saffron Rice
Besan Ladoo (Gram flour sweets)
How to do it:
- Offer these to Maa Saraswati as prasad and then share with family and friends.
- While eating, express gratitude for wisdom and abundance.
Why it’s powerful:
The color therapy of yellow is said to bring joy, creativity, and success, making it a perfect food choice on this day. Jupiter, the planet of wisdom, knowledge, and expansion, is also symbolized by the color yellow. In 2025, every zodiac sign will receive Jupiter’s blessings in some form, bringing expansion, wisdom, and opportunities. When you wear, eat, or offer yellow on this day, you align yourself with Jupiter’s energy for greater success.
6. Declutter & Organize – Clear Your Space for a Fresh Start
Vasant Panchami is an excellent time to declutter, clean, and reorganize your space, as a cluttered environment can lead to a cluttered mind.
Things to declutter:
- Old books or notes you no longer need (donate them!)
- Papers or files cluttering your workspace
- Clothes or items that don’t serve you anymore
Why it’s powerful:
When you clear your space, you clear your mind, making way for new knowledge and wisdom to enter.
7. Write an Affirmation or Gratitude Letter
Since Maa Saraswati is the Goddess of learning, take a few minutes to:
- Write one powerful affirmation that aligns with your goals.
Example Affirmations:
- “Maa Saraswati’s divine wisdom flows through me, guiding me to clarity, knowledge, and success in all my studies.”
- “I am a brilliant student, and I am constantly improving and excelling in my studies.”
- “My mind is clear, focused, and open to endless learning and success.”
- “I believe in myself, and I attract success with every step I take toward my goals.”
- Express gratitude for your teachers, mentors, and guides who have helped you learn and grow.
Final Thoughts: The Magic of Consistency
Vasant Panchami is a sacred opportunity to invite wisdom, success, and new beginnings into our lives. But the real transformation happens when we continue these rituals beyond just one day.
- Start your mornings with a diya and the Medha Sukhtam
- Make goal-setting and vision boards a habit
- Declutter your space regularly to invite fresh energy
Believe me, when you practice these simple rituals consistently, you will witness incredible shifts in your focus, success, and personal growth.
May Maa Saraswati bless you with infinite wisdom, clarity, and success!
Happy Vasant Panchami!

Harnessing the Power of the First New Moon of 2025
Did you know that the first new moon of the year isn’t just another celestial event? It’s a golden opportunity to align your goals, refresh your spirit, and set the tone for an extraordinary 2025. Let’s make it count! So today, I, Dr. Neeti Kaushik, will share how you can harness the energy of this new moon to make 2025 your best year yet!
Why is the First New Moon of 2025 So Special?
A new moon is always a time for new beginnings, a clean slate for your aspirations. But the first new moon of 2025, arriving on January 29, holds a unique significance. It’s a powerful cosmic reset, offering an even deeper alignment with your intentions because it marks the very start of a brand-new year.
I’ve always found this time to be so magical. The quiet stillness that comes with the new moon is not just a pause in the sky, but a profound invitation to reflect, reset, and realign. It’s like the universe is handing you a blank canvas, gently urging you to set bold intentions and step into your power for the year ahead.
What Makes New Moons Powerful?
The new moon’s energy is subtle yet incredibly transformative. Here’s why it’s an ideal time to plant your seeds of intention and reset your inner compass:
- Fresh Energy: The absence of the moon’s light symbolizes a time of stillness, perfect for going inward. It’s a time to pause and reflect on your true desires, free from external distractions.
- Astrological Alignment: Many believe the moon’s phases have a profound impact on our emotions, decisions, and actions. During the new moon, the sky is empty, inviting us to focus inward and align with our inner wisdom.
- Natural Cycle: Just like farmers plant seeds during the new moon phase to take advantage of the fertile energy, we can also “plant” our goals and dreams during this time. This energy supports growth and manifestation, which is why it’s an optimal moment to set intentions.
The Best Time to Start Manifesting: 369 & 55×5 Methods
When it comes to manifestation, timing is everything. If you’re looking for powerful methods to align with the moon’s energy and accelerate your manifestations, you might want to try these tried-and-true techniques:
- The 369 Manifestation Method: Based on the idea that repeating your desires in a specific way helps align your energy with the universe, this method involves writing your intention three times in the morning, six times in the afternoon, and nine times at night. This ritual is powerful because it aligns your actions with the natural rhythm of the universe, making it a perfect practice to incorporate on the new moon.
- The 55×5 Manifestation Method: Another impactful practice is the 55×5 method, where you write your intention fifty five times for five consecutive days. The repetition helps you anchor your desires into your subconscious mind. This method is a beautiful way to commit to your vision and stay consistent with your manifestations.
Both of these methods are great tools to tap into the amplified energy of the new moon, helping you focus your intentions and manifest your desires with greater clarity and power. For more guidance, I am sharing my YouTube videos on these techniques.

Activities to Make the Most of the First New Moon
Over the years, I’ve found that the more I embrace the rituals surrounding the new moon, the more aligned and empowered I feel. Here are some transformative practices I personally use and recommend during this time to channel the moon’s energy:
Set Your Intentions for 2025
Take some quiet time to reflect deeply on what you truly want to achieve in the year ahead. Be specific and intentional. For me, this means thinking beyond superficial goals and focusing on things that will nurture my soul and bring fulfillment to all areas of my life—health, relationships, career, and personal growth.
As you write your intentions, make them present tense. Instead of “I want to be healthier,” write, “I am feeling vibrant and strong in my body.” This helps your mind and spirit believe in the possibility of your desires. Keeping your list visible throughout the year acts as a constant reminder of your goals.
Create a Vision Board
I love this part of the process! Gathering images, words, and symbols that resonate with my desires creates a visual representation of my dreams. Whether you prefer cutting out magazine clippings or using a digital platform like Pinterest or Canva, making a vision board is a wonderful way to visually anchor your goals.
For me, my vision boards have become sacred spaces where I constantly return to when I need inspiration or clarity. They remind me of the bigger picture and fuel my motivation on challenging days. I place my vision board where I can see it daily—somewhere I will pause to take it all in and recalibrate when needed.
Over the past four years, I’ve created vision boards that have manifested more than 90% of my dreams, including receiving my YouTube Golden Play Button. The knowledge I’ve gained through these years has shown me how powerful vision boards can be in turning dreams into reality.
To share this knowledge, I’ve created a Vision Board Master Course, where I will guide you step-by-step on how to craft your own powerful vision board using the principles of Feng Shui and manifestation. Together, we’ll dive into the techniques that have worked for me and countless others, helping you create a vision board that brings your dreams into focus and sets the path for your personal and professional success.
Having a dedicated journal has been one of my most valuable practices. Every month, I reflect on how far I’ve come, update my goals. I love revisiting my thoughts and intentions from previous moons, seeing how far I’ve come, and allowing the universe to reveal how my goals have been unfolding.
Starting the habit of journaling from the new moon is a powerful practice. You can journal daily, such as through gratitude journaling—writing three things you’re grateful for—or journal whenever you feel, like during the full moon and new moon.
This simple act of writing helps you stay connected with your goals, align with the lunar cycles, and deepen your manifestation journey.
For more details on Journaling, visit our webite.
Cleanse and Declutter Your Space
I always take time around the new moon to clear out physical clutter. A clean and organized space allows fresh energy to flow. It’s amazing how simply clearing out old items—things you no longer need or that don’t serve you—can create a shift in your mindset.
I also love incorporating cleansing rituals like sage, incense, or essential oils such as lavender or frankincense to cleanse the energy around me. This makes it feel like I’m energetically preparing the space for new opportunities to manifest.
Practice Gratitude
Gratitude is such a powerful tool for attracting abundance. I always spend time reflecting on the year gone by and noting what I am truly grateful for. Even if the year has been challenging, there’s always something to appreciate. I write at least ten things I’m grateful for—big or small. This simple practice shifts my vibration and aligns me with positivity.
Meditate for Clarity
One of my go-to rituals is meditation. During the new moon, I love to sit in silence and focus on my breath for 10-15 minutes. It helps clear the mental clutter and brings clarity to my intentions. Visualizing myself achieving my goals and feeling the emotions associated with them makes them feel tangible and real. I also use affirmations during my meditation, such as:
- “I am open to new opportunities and success.”
- “I am aligned with my highest purpose.”
- “My dreams are unfolding effortlessly.”
For more details on Meditation, visit our webite.
Use Crystals
Crystals hold incredible energy for setting intentions and manifesting dreams. For 2025, you can use these two powerful crystals to align with your goals and welcome new beginnings:
- Unakite: Known as the crystal for new beginnings, it supports growth and renewal, making it perfect for setting the tone for the year ahead.
- Clear Quartz Geode (The Wish Cave): Write your wishes on a small piece of paper, fold it carefully, and place it inside the geode. This creates a sacred space for your dreams to take root and manifest.
These crystals can amplify your intentions, helping you create a transformative and fulfilling 2025.
Perform a Simple New Moon Ritual
For me, a new moon ritual feels incomplete without lighting a Diya or candle. It symbolizes purity and new beginnings. Holding a crystal like clear quartz or amethyst while I speak my intentions out loud feels like sending my desires directly into the universe. I close my ritual with a mantra, such as: “This is the year I embrace my true potential.” It feels like an energetic handshake with the universe, confirming my commitment to manifesting my desires.
Every month, for each new moon, I post a detailed video on my YouTube channel with new, powerful moon activities. This time, I will be sharing a special new moon ritual video too. You can visit my YouTube channel, Nitty Gritty with Dr. Neeti Kaushik, to stay updated and deepen your connection with the moon’s energy.
Why Setting Intentions Now Matters
The first new moon of the year brings a collective energy of fresh starts and possibilities. By setting clear intentions, you create a roadmap for your year. Grounding yourself in positivity and aligning with the moon’s energy helps you move through the months with confidence and clarity.
For me, aligning with the moon’s energy gives me a sense of synchronicity with the natural rhythm of life. It reminds me that I am part of something larger, and that when I stay focused, magic happens.
Tips to Stay on Track Post-New Moon
As the months unfold, remember that the new moon’s energy doesn’t end with the ritual. The key to manifesting your intentions is consistency. Here’s what has worked for me:
- Revisit your journal and vision board regularly to stay connected with your goals.
- Break down your larger goals into smaller, actionable steps, so you don’t feel overwhelmed.
- Celebrate small milestones as they arise. Every step forward is progress, and it’s important to acknowledge it.
- Stay flexible. Life changes, and so may your goals. Adapt and adjust your intentions as needed.
The first new moon of 2025 is not just a date on the calendar; it’s a powerful portal for transformation. This is your cosmic reset—your opportunity to set the foundation for an extraordinary year. I’ve seen firsthand how the energy of the new moon can guide you to manifest your deepest desires, provided you approach it with clarity and intention.
So, are you ready to illuminate your path and make 2025 your best year yet? Start now, and watch the magic unfold!

Financial Stability and Growth
- Financially, the year starts strong with opportunities for growth, especially in the first quarter. Whether you’re in entrepreneurship, affiliate marketing, or personal business, you can expect financial gains.

- Family life will require more patience, especially as your professional commitments take center stage. It’s important to communicate openly with loved ones about your goals and aspirations for the year.
Personal Reflection and Transformation
- As you work on your career and personal growth, you will likely experience deep transformations in your thinking and approach to relationships. There may be a need to step back and reflect on your emotional needs and the way you interact with others.

- If you don’t have a mentor or guide, take time to write down your analysis. Let it help you make informed decisions instead of impulsive ones.
